API 11B Class T and Class SM Sucker Rod Coupling 

Product Description

The sucker rod coupling is designed according to API Spec 11B and is made of high-quality carbon steel or alloy structural steel (equivalent to AISI 1045 or AISI 4135). Metal spraying is a surface hardening process technology, which involves coating nickel, chromium, boron, and silicon-based powders on the base metal and using laser melting treatment. After this process, the metal surface becomes harder, denser, more uniform, with a very low coefficient of friction and high corrosion resistance. Both traditional sucker rods and polished rods with small wellbore (SH) diameter and standard size (FS) are available in spray metal (SM) versions. Under normal circumstances, there are two wrench squares on the coupling and outer circle, but non wrench square couplings can also be provided according to user needs. The hardness of T-grade couplings after heat treatment is HRA56-62, which has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance. When in use, the sucker rod coupling is used to connect sucker rods of the same size, while the reducing coupling is used to connect sucker rods of different sizes or to connect bare rods and sucker rod columns. Couplings include three types: sucker rod couplings, reducing couplings, and spray welded couplings.
