Product Description

 

Piston assembly is one of the main parts of the mud pump  hydraulic end, and slao one of the vulnerable parts in drilling work. The discharge pressure of the mud pump is generated by the reciprocating linear motion of the piston assembly in the piston. The mud pump piston assembly is made of high-quality imported nitrile rubber, and the piston core is 45# steel, normalizing treatment, and the hardness is not less than HB170. The material meets the requirements of HG/2810-2008 standard, and the size meets the requirements specified in the drawings. When the drilling fluid exclusion pressure is less than 20MPa, the sand content is less than 5%, the iron core powder is not used to increase, and the temperature is less than 100ºC, the service life of the cuff is not less than 200 hours.

During operation, mud pump pistons reciprocate within cylinders, driven by the crankshaft or crosshead mechanism of the pump. As the piston moves backward, it creates suction that draws in drilling fluid into the cylinder. Upon forward movement, the piston pressurizes the fluid, forcing it through discharge valves into the drill string and borehole. This continuous circulation of drilling fluid helps cool the drill bit, remove cuttings, and maintain wellbore stability.
